From the time we landed in Jamaica until we left we were treated fabulously. Starting with coller of beer in the shuttle to the rum punch and cool towels on arrival to what ever you needed you just asked and if possible was provided. All the other reviews pretty much hit on everything, you're in your own world with who you came with, not some resort with a thousand others. The only negative I need to put on is two of my nephews and I both returned with hookworms in our feet!!!! I suggest aqua socks if you have any open cuts. I figure I got mine because of a splinter I got in my foot the first night. Itchy feet about 4 days layer, then bam! in 9 days after we returned can't put shoes on. This is not knock on Moon dance, just a caution, it can happen anywhere in the tropics, just wanted to make people aware.

We stayed at the 2 bedroom villa 'Satin Sunrise from April 9 to April 19th 2009."
We were reluctant to write a review because we fear that this hidden gem will no longer remain so hidden. All that said, we feel compelled to let others know what a first class vacation we had in Jamaica, and particularly, our stay at Moon Dance Villas.
The accommodations are just as they appear on the website - if not better. The Villas are well maintained and kept super clean by the resorts top notch cleaning staff.
In addition to great villas, the location of Moon Dance is equally spectacular. The Villas are literally situated right on the beach, The beach experience at Moon Dance is just as one would imagine as you are sitting in your chair at work, dreaming of the next vacation. White sand, indigenous trees for shade, hammocks, beach toys and yes, the all important bartender bringing you very strong blender drinks.
Much can be said about the physical amenities, but what truly made our trip was the house "staff" - although, we would prefer to call them our vacation friends - because that is what they turned out to be. We had Glenn as our bartender and Robert as our cook extraordinaire. These two guys were the greatest representation of Jamaican hospitality and kindness. Sure, they were at work, but they truly enjoyed sharing their stories of growing up in Jamaica and had a genuine interest in making our stay there the very best it could be. Glenn - thanks for your stiff drinks and kind heart - we hope to see you again. Robert - we are suffering from jerk withdrawal - my personal cooking also just doesn't taste the same anymore! Big thanks to both of you.
Well, regrettably, I have to get back to work. Thanks to the Moon Dance experience, it will be a little less onerous for a while.

Excellent service, fabulous food and first class accommodations combined with beachfront access to Negril beach. Walking the beach has all the hassles of hucksters sometimes aggressively selling all sorts of items, legal and illegal. We had the alacarte and it was reasonable. The only problem came when the bill needed to be paid and the exchange rate they offered was 15% lower than at the bank. Instead of a fair rate we got scorched on the final bill by about $500.00 because of the brutal rate they offered. That left a bad taste in my mouth. Next time I will go to the local bank before checkout and load up on Jamaican dollars so I can pay the bill in cash and save 15%.

This was the best vacation spot ever!!! The staff, the villa, the FOOD - OMG was the best. We are going to come back for my brother 5th year wedding anniversary. This time I'm bringing my SO. I know that he will enjoy it too.

After booking about 8 months in advance for our 25th Anniversary trip, it was everything and then some when we finally got to go!
We relaxed so much, it was exhausting. The staff, especially Delta and Fitz Roy looked after us wonderfully!
The food was great and the Lilac Mist was spacious and clean.
If there was one complaint, it was the noisy main road close to the Villas and also the hustlers on the public beach , but you get used to it. The whole trip was great.

Moon Dance Villas were amazing (neither I or any member of the wedding party could think of a single Con). This is a wonderful property, especially for someone getting married. Only one wedding is held each day. The staff at the villas put together the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. The weddings are usually held around 4:30 – perfect timing for sunset pictures. Each Villa has a person Chef, Butler and housekeeper. Visit www.moondancevillas.com . – I also had people stay at the moondance cliffs – also very beautiful property. The Cliff do not have a beach though.
Food was superb, menu items include lobster, fresh fish and fruit daily. Moon Dance also set up a snorkeling excursion for the family. It was wonderful!
