The entrance to the place was a bit of a turn-off when it was noticed that there was a big 'gully' right beside the hotel....it made me wonder if the water activities would be safe and relatively pollution free.

We wanted to overnight in Ocho Rios without plans and went to check out prices and availability. The staff was less than helpful and treated us like 2nd class citizens. We ended up staying at a superclubs resort instead and never regretted it! - Ordinary Girl

Fantastic property for anyone who wants a solid product at a great value. Centrally located within Ocho Rios, close to the straw market. Property sits on a point, great views of the ocean from all points on the property. The new pool and slide area is a hit for young and old. Great new addition. One of the best lobbies in Jamaica - incredible property views. - Marvia

I just looooove SJG. I am stating my bias from early. When you think all-inclusive food, drinks, accommodation and activities – only SJG should come to mind. Tourists love it because they get the Jamaican experience with the walls and environment in a great package. Jamaicans go there because it offers the best day-pass experience. I go there because its prices are reasonable, the food and drinks are unlimited and the land and water sports fill up my day! I feel so at home. Ahhhhhhh. I am writing and I wish I could just slip out to SJG for an hour… or two… or three – can I get the day-off please?

When you walk in, you get the vacation feeling in an instant. The lounge transports your mind to that breezy spot beneath a coconut tree, so your mind is free to soak up nothing but fun and relaxation. You can hear the squeals of laughter and delight as you descend the stairs to the main eatery area and as you pass over the ‘boardwalk’ you know – its begun! Your nose needs no help in finding the nearest buffet stand and your hardest decision comes after you have digested – what do I indulge in first?

Nothing is off-limits to you, nothing. Indulge in everything – activities galore. Those energetic entertainment co-ordinators will keep you even busier teaching you the latest dance moves or involving you in an interactive game or two. You won’t want to leave… I always linger when I should check out. Sigh. - Staff
