Cardiff Hall Public Beach

Cornwall Beach

Sports enthusiasts will delight in Cornwall's protected underwater marine park, where you can come face to face with fish while snorkeling or scuba diving. This beautiful strength of beach offers just about anything you may need - cabanas, water toys, a bar and a cafeteria. There's also a crafts center, where you can watch artisans at work. There is also a Jonkanoo Beach Party every Saturday. If dancing under a tropical moon isn't your thing, you relax and wager on the goat and donkey races - all part of the Saturday evening festivities.

Fort Clarence

Although shown on maps as a small beach, the name Fort Clarence beach is more common than many other Jamaican beaches. The beach is ideal for snorkeling, fishing, jet skis and swimming. It has other great attractions such as a cave on the far end of the beach and excellent seating areas. There is a lifeguard on hand to assist with any problems that might occur as patrons utilize the beach. However the venue is prime for Jamaican dancehall events and is a popular nightspot for lovers. We recommend the Fort Clarence beach a must visit for both locals and tourists.

Hellshire Beach

Hellshire-Beach-200x200Hellshire is one of the most popular public (i.e. free) beaches in the Portmore area. Many Kingstonians and Portmore residents visit the beach mostly on holidays and weekends, not just to enjoy the beach but also the 'fried fish and festival' sold on there.

James Bond Beach

James Bond Beach is situated on the east of Oho Rios and is a great place for getting away from the pressures of modern life. It's the perfect choice for visitors that would prefer a bit of activity at the beach but choose to avoid the crowds. Both locals and visitors can take a trip out to sea on glass bottom boats, kayaks, and wave runners. Snorkeling facilities can also be found here. Like so many places in Jamaica this beach has a distinctive personality, which will be the perfect match for some visitors. Tourists visiting the island's north coast would not want to miss out on all that this beach has to offer. It is a favorite hotspot for both locals and tourists.

Lovers Leap is a 1700 ft cliff with a spectacular view of the sea below. Dropping almost perpendicularly, it is the site from which a couple of slave lovers reportedly leaped to escape their master who wanted the female slave for himself. It is now a tourist attraction in St. Elizabeth, with a restaurant, small museum with Indian and other artifacts and a garden with a cactus farm.

A quarter mile stretch of sea, sunshine and relaxation.

Salem Paradise Beach

San San Beach

sansan-200x200San San Beach is a narrow, but lengthy beach with a perfect view of Peelu/Monkey Island. There are bathrooms and a mini bar and one can rent beach loungers or a kayak if so desired. If you walk down to the far right end of the beach, it is calmer and you can easily walk out to the reef areas and see sea urchins below the surface. However, be careful not to walk out in the reef areas as you will most likely step on a spiny sea urchin..
